Peter Carter
Managing Director
Peter has spent over 30 years in construction. He completed a CITB apprenticeship as a Carpenter and Joiner and worked with some of the best tradesmen in the industry to hone his craft.
In his early twenties, he became involved in heavy timber construction and Green Oak framing, where he led a team of skilled craftsmen recreating traditional post and beam frames, along with repairing and restoring several listed buildings.
In his late twenties, he began working with Modern Methods of Construction, including SIPs and Engineered Wood Products. He formed a company that specialised in this and became one of the early System Suppliers for Kingspan TEK Sips.
During this time, it became apparent that the construction industry was resistant to change, and in order to deliver high-quality homes, it would be necessary to broaden his knowledge and skill set so he could provide a turnkey service to customers.
In 2011, Myriad Construction was formed, where he offered his skills to discerning clients wanting to create something better than the norm. In the past 15 years, he has had the privilege to have constructed dozens of award-winning, iconic homes whilst working alongside many talented Architects and Engineers.
Peter’s breadth of knowledge across multiple construction and engineering disciplines, along with his thirst for learning and willingness to experiment, provides a unique perspective in solving construction issues. It is with this approach that Peter strives to add value to every project he leads.
Benn Nicol
Design Manager
Benn Nicol is a highly experienced architectural design professional with a career spanning over 25 years. A proficient user of AutoCAD since 1999 and HsbCAD since 2005, Benn has a deep technical understanding of structural solutions for both traditional and timber frame construction methods.
He is a specialist in Kingspan TEK (SIPS) fabrication design, with extensive expertise in integrating Glulam and steel-frame structures into modern builds. Benn’s strong technical foundation—supported by a BTEC OND and HNC in Construction Studies—underpins his precision-driven approach to design.
Having worked alongside Peter Carter for over 18 years, Benn brings a collaborative and seasoned perspective to every project. He became part of the Myriad Construction team in April 2025, where his knowledge and attention to detail continue to contribute to high-performance, innovative architectural solutions.
A Sussex and Kent native, Benn enjoys watching motorsports and spending time extending and renovating houses—interests that reflect his passion for design, engineering, and craftsmanship both professionally and personally. Benn is married and a proud father of two boys.
Heather Macreadie
Financial Controller
Heather joined Myriad Construction in September 2025 as Financial Controller, bringing over 20 years of accounting experience, including 15 years within the construction industry. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and providing valuable financial insight to support decision-making across the business.
Born and raised in Eastbourne, Heather has lived there all her life and is proud to be part of the local community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and hiking across the South Downs.
She’s a proud mum to two young children, who keep her on her toes and ensure there’s never a dull moment.
Natasha Uys
Office Manager
Natasha joined Myriad Construction in June 2025, bringing over 30 years of admin and managerial experience, including 15+ years in compliance and health & safety. She’s SMSTS qualified and, at the time of joining, had worked in the construction industry for more than 5 years. Natasha is responsible for the smooth running of Myriad’s Office & overall operations, including company admin, compliance, training, & assists with health& safety aspects.
Originally from the West Country, Natasha has lived in East Sussex for over 20 years. She has a collaborative leadership style, with calm efficiency and attention to detail.
She’s a proud mum to two creative teenagers—a budding carpenter and an aspiring artist—and is ruled by her pug, Tilly, who’s convinced she’s the real boss.
